Wordstock and Music

It’s that wordstock time of year and as usual I didn’t make it there

But at least there is some news available at: Livethecreed.com with Vas and Joni keeping us up2date. Man I would have loved to be there for Spirit Tree, their samples are some of mine and Linda’s favorite selections on my mp3 player (even though the quality could be better).

In an unusual treat my good buddy Phil has launched his new music site: Translated Music Group which besides having a couple new tracts, boasts a great archive of quality family Dance music.

And last but not least leave it to Jeremy to post a rip of the whole Prophet Album CD by Salt of Earth who I’m been meaning to link to for a while now, loving all this new music.

For You.

I want to thank a very special person who has faithfully been a source of strength, love, knowledge, humor, inspiration, faith, and so so many other things to me throughout the years. I would also like to mention that these aren’t just some random sweet words that I’m writing down, but words that actually represent what I have seen and experienced throughout my life with her. So here’s what these words mean to me:

Her strength; holding onto the Lord no matter what.

Her love; I have felt it unconditionally during my 23 years of life.

Her knowledge; was shared at every turn in hopes to make life better for me, and it did.

Her humor; has been an absolute gift to me & has taught me how fun & funny life can be!

Her inspiration; I think it comes from giving her life to serve Jesus & others, which in turn has been a strong inspiration to me.

Her faith; utter & total faith in the Lord & His care for us.

There are so many other ways in which she is an exceptional person and has been the greatest influence in my life (along with my Dad), but if I think about it for too long it gets me all teary-eyed & choked up so I try not to visit that “place” in my heart of heart’s heart too often, might go down the wrong valve & get lost.

I will say this though, that if Devin loves me as much as I love you, Mom, I will have accomplished my life’s greatest task.
