A Lifetime’s Worth Of Jobs

Sometimes I feel old, but reading over all the different jobs that my Dad has held in his 60 or 61 (or maybe even 62??) years of life reminds me that I have a whole lot to learn and a whole heck of a lot more work ahead of me! — Hurrah or maybe not, gulp…well God willing I’ll still be fighting the good fight in 40 years if the Lord hasn’t come back by then (please oh please come back Lord!!). Because if my Dad’s still serving the Lord at 60-whatever-years-old-he-is, then I have to be too!

Ok, on to the more interesting part of this post, at least I think so, are all the jobs that my Dad has done in his lifetime & actually gotten paid for. My Mom sent me this list and was meaning to get more info about the jobs but for lack of time this will have to do. And knowing my Dad I would not be surprised if he forgot about a dozen or so other jobs, but maybe it’s ’cause he didn’t get paid for them. So here’s the list:

50. Missionary work for over 25 years (in South America, all over North America, & Asia) and is currently serving the Lord with my Mom in Mexico! – The Lord’s always compensated & supplied abundantly throughout the years, and I think my Dad would agree that He’s been the Best Boss out of them all.

And last but by no means least, he’s been a FAITHFUL, HARDWORKING, and LOYAL Father to his 13 children…funny that this is the one job he hasn’t received a dime for! : )

Happy Father’s Day Dad!

    Thanks Linda.

I needed the experience with those jobs in order to raise all of you kids. HA! I wouldn’t have traded it for anything (raising you kids), you all are wonderful.

    I love you xoxoxoxo Dad

  3. bebet Says:

Hey Linda, what type of camera do you use for your pics?( a friend wants to know) they always come out so well.

  4. Steven Says:

It’s cause it’s Linda taking the pics, the ones I take don’t come out. Doesn’t matter what camera either of us use. :(

  5. bebet Says:

humm I don’t know about that Stevo! I’ve seen some pictures you’ve taken & they look pretty good, almost as good as Lindas. But seriously what type of camera do you guys use? This photographer friend of mine was impressed :)

  6. Linda Says:

It’s an Olympus Camdia C-740 Ultra Zoom. I got my like 2 years ago for about $400. They do have a newer model of the same camera with a built-in recharger (you know, when you plug in your camera) which would be sooo convenient. I’ve been very happy with mine & haven’t had any problems with it.

Cool that! thanx, ( it’s funny whats coming back to my memory)
