It Was A Happy Thanksgiving
Friday, November 24th, 2006We had a really lovely Thanksgiving with our great friends. The day was spent with some people cooking in the kitchen while sipping on wine and listening to music, and some people meeting up with a bunch of friends to play their annual Thanksgiving football game. I helped a tad with cooking, as in helping to make 2 pumpkin pies, but there were plenty of good cooks around so I didn’t have to do much. Steve played football, then took Devin to feed ducks at a pond when he got back. It was all very relaxing really, so I just relaxed and enjoyed the day. Oh, and we had the best food ever, every dish was delicious, check out what was served!
Turkey, gravy, stuffing, honey glazed ham, green bean casserole, mash potatoes with bacon, cream cheese and spring onions, sweet potatoes in orange cups topped with a sugar cumble, stuffed zucchini with portobello mushrooms and asiago cheese, some delicious spinach salad with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, hard boiled egges, and bacon (wish I knew the name). And for desert we had pecan pie, pumpkin pie, lemon meringue, and vanilla bean ice cream. And to drink we had red and white wine, lots of different varitities, and Irish cream! I’m probably forgetting something, but I don’t want us to sound like pigs either…or is it too late?
