Still Alive

Thank the Lord for His protection! We’ve been holding our breathe since yesterday and this morning we got a “reverse 911 call” notifying us that our area was under a mandatory evacuation. Thankfully we had some small bags packed with our essentials which we had gathered yesterday, so when we got the call this morning we were ready and actually thankfully to escape the smoke that was getting quite bothersome and gave me a headache.

Devin’s been excited to see so many firemen and police cars, I’m just thankfully he’s not worried by all the commotion.

We’re currently North of the fires and keeping a close eye on the news, listening out for any word on the fire that’s threating our area. I’ll try to put some photos up soon. Thanks for your prayers, and thanks to Frank and Sara who have so kindly given us a room to stay in.

I heard you’re cleared to come home already? Yeay! I can stop scouring the news for news of the house there and in FB. Heh, Cassie was just saying — thank the Lord we hadn’t canceled the land line yet. I wonder what you do to register a cell phone for reverse 911 calls? kind of nice to get those.

Leave it to Steve to not only figure how, but to post the info so everybody can do it!

    Well done!

And I’m glad you all were safe, your home was safe… we were all praying for you!!
