Our Yosemite Adventure
We just got back from spending 5 days in Yosemite; the Lord is very good to us! We all thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors, and the boys especially loved being able to play with an endless amount of sticks, splashing in puddles, climbing up boulders, roasting marshmallows & hot dogs, sitting round a campfire, spotting wild animals, chasing squirrels, seeing waterfalls, playing with their fellow kid-campers, going on “hikes” in their wagon, visiting a nature observatory, and sleeping in a tent! – Steve and I did most of those things too, just in a more grown up way of course, fueled by Curry Village’s coffee.
Never mind that it rained off and on for the first 2 days, the puddles were a welcomed sight of delight to our boys and the surrounding forest was a beautiful deep green as a result, so therapeutic. Steve wanted me to experience hiking around Yosemite so he watched the boys from around 8:00 am till 7:00 pm so that I could hike Half Dome with 5 friends, thanks baby!
All in all it was a great way to connect with the Lord through His creation and enjoy family and friends without busyness or distraction.
