Thoughts On New Year’s Eve
Another year is closing and in less than 7 hours a New Year will begin and I’m feeling the need to reminisce on the past and also imagine the bright future that God has in store for us. 2009 has been a year of learning for me, learning that love is the most important thing, even when other things aren’t working out as you had hoped for. I think 2010 will be for me, another shot at learning this love business, and for that I’m glad.
Through all the crazy & challenging moments of the past year, there sure has been a whole lot more of the sweet times of togetherness with family & dear friends & the Lord’s never-ending love & care for all of us. Makes you want to share the wealth of blessings; love, peace, purpose, salvation, faith, and all the riches we possess with those in the world who are without these priceless possessions. So my prayer & wish for my family this next year (and in the years to come) is to share more with those who have less than us, and I know that as we do the Lord will be right alongside us, sustaining us in every way.And one final thought is of our human imperfection in everything we do, ha! I am reminded of this photo & this photo reminds me of life, in that sometimes even when you really want to have things a certain way, it’s hard to get everything picture perfect, and that’s okay. The wonderful thing is that we can keep giving & loving through our human imperfection. And maybe keep blogging even if it takes 2 hours to write a little post because you have to keep stopping to break up fights…not so picture perfect.
Happy 2010 to you & here’s to sharing our blessings & God’s love through our imperfect selves this New Year!
