Steven and Linda Or rather Devin and Wesley

We celebrated Devin’s 2nd Birthday on the 5th of this month instead of the 25th, which is his actual Birthday. It was a fun-packed day held outside with a clown (thanks to Eli) who put on a show and made balloons, Renee did face painting, Sammy brought out a pet snake, Abi set up a play area for the kids to dress up, play with cars, or color. Then came the dump truck filled with chocolate cake chunks which looked like dirt topped with gummy worms, and served with a shovel…I got the idea off the internet and it couldn’t of been any easier to make. Devin got to share his Birthday with his little friend Carina who just turned 2 this month, so they had plenty of little guests show up for their big day. Thanks to all who came and for the cute gifts! Here’s some photos from the party:

We had a really lovely Thanksgiving with our great friends. The day was spent with some people cooking in the kitchen while sipping on wine and listening to music, and some people meeting up with a bunch of friends to play their annual Thanksgiving football game. I helped a tad with cooking, as in helping to make 2 pumpkin pies, but there were plenty of good cooks around so I didn’t have to do much. Steve played football, then took Devin to feed ducks at a pond when he got back. It was all very relaxing really, so I just relaxed and enjoyed the day. Oh, and we had the best food ever, every dish was delicious, check out what was served!

Turkey, gravy, stuffing, honey glazed ham, green bean casserole, mash potatoes with bacon, cream cheese and spring onions, sweet potatoes in orange cups topped with a sugar cumble, stuffed zucchini with portobello mushrooms and asiago cheese, some delicious spinach salad with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, hard boiled egges, and bacon (wish I knew the name). And for desert we had pecan pie, pumpkin pie, lemon meringue, and vanilla bean ice cream. And to drink we had red and white wine, lots of different varitities, and Irish cream! I’m probably forgetting something, but I don’t want us to sound like pigs either…or is it too late?

Devin gave his first tract to a sweet lady at the bank yesterday.

And here are some photo highlights of activities the tots have done this month, like baking Christmas cookies (it’s never too early), an outing to a library (we picked out books and videos), and making leaf piles to jump on!
